Museums are in
the unique situation of having both the responsibility
of safeguarding in perpetuity humankind’s
most valuable creations while simultaneously permitting
public access. The VINCI System is perfectly suited
for the surveillance of valuable and accessible
art because VINCI combines into one system video
monitoring, motion detection and alarm activation.
While recording video pictures digitally, VINCI
System products can also automatically activate
alarms by sending audible warnings, activating barriers
or triggering other security mechanisms. The system
can detect unauthorized access as well as detect
instantly if a surveiled object is moved.
The interior of
the building can be divided into detection areas
so that anyone entering or leaving an area (as custom-defined
by the facility) will immediately be detected. If
the area is restricted, preset alarms will be automatically
activated.
The VINCI System
can direct alarm notification to a second (and third)
security monitoring station, should security personnel
not respond to the alarm within a pre-set time (say
10 seconds).
Adding a VINCI
RECEPTC module allows the entire system to be simultaneously
recorded and monitored externally (from anywhere
in the world) using either an Internet connection
or any other communication link.
The VINCI system
can connect up to 32 external devices (such as glass
break and door opening sensors) which can also trigger
automatically digital video recording. The system
can be set to record 24/7 or can be set to record
only those events triggered by a preset alarm (such
as a door opening, or movement in a surveilled area).
